Aim High

The journey we are on is not set in stone... At any time, we can decide to change the road we're on in life... change directions... follow a new path...seek a new adventure!

Only we truly know what we want from life and if we're on the path that will lead us to where we want to be... the journey that will ultimately lead to where we are meant to me.

Only we can fulfill our dreams and bask the joy and happiness that comes from reaching those goals we aspire to.

Aim high and choose love laughter and joy... Everything else will follow!

The Peculiarities of Life

Today no matter many times I insisted the universe would reward me for my positive attitude and no matter much I tried to convince myself life is grand... I found myself forgetting to be thankful for what I have and instead focused on those things I want but thus far have eluded me.  Usually I'm very confident the universe works as it should and that all things happen for a reason. Today I found myself distressed I could not determine the reasons... Which lead to frustration.

I know I'm just a spec of sand on someone else's much grander beach but today I wanted to know why... Of course the answer eludes me which lead to more frustration.

What's important is that I let go... I let go of my worries of what is and isn't ... I let go of the stress of not knowing why everything doesn't work out perfectly ... I let go and accepted what is to be on beach will be and the reasons are of no consequence.  The waves will crash along the shore and subside again and again and there is not to be a treason why.

The peculiar thing about life... Is I already know I have no control of what happens around me... And I spend a lot of energy choosing to consciously accept this and just focus of the blessings I have been given in this life... this day...this moment, focus on the love laughter and joy ... yet even with all this focus and acceptance today I didn't get it... 

Today I saw the negative in people... in life and it made me sad.  I saw my failures and felt them. Today I had to learn a lesson I thought I already knew...today I had to remember reality is 99% perception ... And regardless of what is or isn't working in my life... I choose my reaction....that's what I can control... I can choose to be happy despite a set back... I have to choose to focus on the love and laughter in my life ... Focus on my blessings...My amazing husband and grand love... After all my spec of sand may just be a spec but its an peculiar magical and magnificent little spec of beach in a grand universe ... That has its reasons !

Choose Happiness

Happiness is everywhere. Sometimes you just have to look around to see it....A happy or successful person is not someone who is living in a certain set of circumstances, but rather someone who is living with a… certain set of attitudes. The happiness of the next moment in life is determined by the decisions and thoughts of this moment in life. . . happiness is a state of mind depending on what you include and exclude in your thoughts... Think love, laughter, and happiness!


Live well... And really live... Good friends, good food, good wine...and a good job... This doesn't mean make more money but rather find passion in what you do... What we do everyday is our life and most of us spend hours each day working... So don't dread it ... No matter what they pay you. Dreading every day is never worth it!


Love much... Love yourself, love your spouse, love your family... Live your life...

Laugh hard... Really hard.. Rolling on the floor hard

And travel often... Always be leaving, coming or going...

And therein find you joy

Positive Energy

If everything happens for a reason and I believe it does, then it is our interpretation of what happens that defines that experience.... We can have a tragedy or hardship in our life and our path is determined by our response. If we see ourselves the helpless victim of our circumstances, our life experience  will that of a victim with no control of our path. If we see the tragedies and challenges as opportunities to overcome and find personal growth and peace in life we will be in control of the path we follow,  Our life is a sum total of each experience we have. Our response to these experiences determine our attitude and outlook on life. We can chose our path, follow our true north, embrace a life of love, laughter, and happiness by responding to our human experiences in this way. Putting love, laughter, and happiness out to the universe and we will attract the same pulling positive energy towards us.

Open your heart and let the world in.  You will feel the pain and suffering but you can chose a path that surrounds you in love, laughter, and happiness.
