Berlin Germany - my thoughts

Germany,.,, I thought Berlin would be harsh and even scary.., like somehow the dark history would carry over to the very essence of the city. In some ways I was right.... The language is harsh and while we were there the weather was cloudy and gray and raining on and off....adding to that sense sorrow and a haunting of the past. The streets were wide and modern as were much of the buildings. An occasional old brick building with gingerbread would stand dwarfed by the taller newer architecture. These seemed
